July 2026 Newsletter: Turning Hardship Into Hope. The Impact YOU Make Possible
Some of the most powerful stories of achievement—the ones that become blockbuster movies like The Blind Side or Stand and Deliver—start in the exact same place: extreme hardship.
But those stories only happen because someone decided to look past the circumstances, feel compassion, and say "yes" to a young person.
For 21 years, we have loved and invested in hundreds of kids right here in our community. We do this work because we believe that when you change the trajectory of one youth, you impact hundreds of others directly or indirectly.
Right now, we are in the thick of our most intense ministry season of the year.

Each week we have been able to invest powerfully in the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For far too many of these young people, our program isn’t just a summer activity—it is their only safe alternative. The opportunity we have with these kids cannot be overstated.
Renee, our Program Director, gave us this testimony about Summer Day Camp:
"This summer, God moved in undeniable ways as our students and leaders ended each day praying together, for each other and experiencing His presence. Campers went home sharing memory verses and the Lord’s Prayer with their families, and we even witnessed a miraculous physical healing through prayer. Seeing children deeply sad when camp was over proves just how safe, powerful, and life-changing this ministry has become."
Our Ministry Center is a hive of deep, exhausting, beautiful work. We are educating students, caring for those with special needs, and many days feeding nearly 200 young people. Yet, right in the middle of the chaos, God has made His presence known with a strong sense of His joy and delight as peace filled the building.
We wrapped up 4 weeks of our summer day camp, and then hit the road with our team and 75 of our youth for a week-long overnight experience with ministry partner, Camp Michawana. Our campers enjoyed time in nature, building friendships and growing in their faith.
Later this summer, our middle school junior crew will enjoy an out-of-state trip to the Ark/Creation Museum in northern Kentucky, and our summer youth employees are serving our community members this week. It's a beautiful, heartwarming sight to see a group of teens helping an elderly family with yard work and working in our local parks.
But this deep Kingdom work requires significant resources.
To keep feeding, teaching, employing, and mentoring these 200+ youth, we need partners who are willing to invest in their future.

The challenges our youth face do not end when summer fades, and neither does our commitment. The true power of LifeBUILDERS is our year-round presence. Summer camp is where we build the trust; the remaining ten months of the year are where we build the future. When the school year starts, we are still here—providing after-school programming, safe winter spaces, and ongoing, Christ-based support. We are not a seasonal intervention. We are a permanent anchor in Regent Park.
